Mostly used in the domestic scene. This type of ceiling is most common ceiling over the last decade. It is a cheaper version and used in flats, schools and town houses mainly.

The gypsum board used is a 6.4mm board with either steel or timber brandering and the steel strips in between the boards. Finishes around perimeter walls will be covered by a cornice.
